I have had the need recently to put together a non-VR project… a demo if you will.
In accordance with this need, I present a VERY early alpha of “Liberating Lucy”, the demo.
In the video below, you will see basic gameplay and the formulation of a story that I wrote some time ago.
There is still a lot of work to do with this and I have already spent six weeks of dev time on it.
But, I must say, it’s a great deal of fun!
It’s my passion to program and design games around an intriguing story, which I feel that this is.
“Liberating Lucy” is being developed in Unreal Engine 4.19, c++. If I release this as a demo (which is pretty likely, since I have so many people to credit), then you will have to have the following specs:
Minimum Specs
OS: Windows® 7, 8, 8.1, 10 (64-Bit REQUIRED)
GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti or AMD equivalent
CPU: 3rd Generation Intel core i5 or or AMD FX™-6300 or better
Memory: 8Gb RAM
HDD: Non-SSD with 6Gb free space (will have longer load times)
Sound Card: DirectSound compatible (must support DirectX® 9.0c or higher)
Additional Notes: Hardware specification target 1080P/30FPS. May require reduction in Texture Quality settings or turning Texture streaming to OFF due to high VRAM requirements.
Test machine was:
Windows 7 64-bit
nVidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti
Intel Core i5 2500k (2nd gen, actually below recommended minimum)
8Gb RAM
Crucial Sata III 512Gb SSD
Setting on low still looks good, framerate range was 28fps – 65fps depending on the scene.
Recommended Specs
OS: Windows® 10 (64-Bit REQUIRED)
GPU: nVidia GeForce® GTX® 1060 or higher
CPU: 4th Generation Intel core i7 3.7GHz or higher, or AMD equivalent
Memory: 16Gb RAM
HDD: SSD SATA 3 6Gb
Sound Card: DirectSound compatible (must support DirectX® 9.0c or higher)
Additional Notes: Hardware specification target 1080P/60FPS
I hope to release this demo in a few weeks, so until then, onwards and upwards!
